We are a
group of men and women who are passionate about serving the youth and
children and making our community a better place to live in.
We are a
part of a worldwide service organization -
with more than 500,000 members
in 80 countries.
Our
members come from all walks of life:
from home-makers
to professionals to business owners. Many of us are also involved in other
organizations - networking clubs, professional associations, church
groups. Some of us have young families and others already enjoy their
grandchildren.
Once a
week we get together for about an hour to look for ways to
participate in life of our community
and fulfill our mission - provide local children and youth with
opportunities to grow their unique talents and develop leadership skills
and help those less fortunate and in need of
assistance. At most meetings we also have a
scheduled speaker.
Throughout the year all members have the opportunity to
work together on fundraising events and
service
projects.
In the process we get to improve and put to great use
our leadership abilities, meet great people, develop lifelong
friendships and make business and professional contacts.
